Test formats and layouts

Braille printouts: Candidates with severe visual impairments may request tests in Braille. Where appropriate, this accommodation may be combined with assistance from a personal assistant.

Colour-blind-friendly tests: Candidates with colour vision deficiencies may request tests adapted to their needs.

Enlarged formats: Candidates with visual impairments may request test materials in a larger format when taking a paper-based test. For example, A3 printouts may be provided instead of A4.

Note-taking: In some cases, such as for candidates with specific learning disabilities, candidates may be allowed to take notes during tests using scratch paper.

Pen-and-paper tests: Candidates may be allowed to take a test on paper rather than on a computer.
